William F. McClelland
Born December 16, 1925, Bronxville, N. Y; programmed the SSEC for John von Neumann and later a member of the IBM-701 (Defense Calculator) design team from 1950 through 1952.
Education: BS, MIT, 1947.
Professional Experience: staff member, IBM Corp., 1947-1982
McClelland held various management positions in IBM, including serving as the IBM representative to national and international standards organizations. He retired in 1982.
