History Committee activities in 2020 are being carried out by four subcommittees under the direction of the committee chair.

• Oral history subcommittee: The goal is to capture audio or video interviews with various kinds of leaders in the Computer Society and the computing community.
• Society archives subcommittee: The goal is to ensure that important records of the Society are appropriately preserved over the long term.
• Diversity subcommittee: The goal is to ensure that the record of the Society captures the diverse swath of its participants and activities.
• Operations and liaisons subcommittee: The goal is to ensure that the History Committee functions effectively and carries out its interactions appropriately with other groups both inside and outside the Society.
